About Wood-work
For newly purchased wooden products, we recommend that you do not boil or scald them with hot water, as this can easily damage the original wood structure and greatly shorten the lifespan of the wooden bowl. When using wooden products for the first time, we generally recommend soaking them in salt water for about 3-4 hours, and then cleaning them normally! After the first cleaning, the surface of the wooden product may feel slightly rough, which is normal. With increased use, the chopsticks will become smoother and smoother.
If you want the wood grain of the wooden product to look more beautiful, after soaking in salt water, wash and dry it, then apply a layer of edible oil (olive oil is better) lightly to the surface of the wooden product and let it sit for 12 hours. This allows the natural wood to fully absorb the oil, making the wooden product more durable and beautiful!
Texture and Color Variation
Wood is a naturally grown material, and there will inevitably be variations in color and grain, each with its unique characteristics. It is normal as long as there are no cracks, blue stains, insect damage, or perforations. Due to environmental factors such as lighting during the wood's growth and the difference in display screens, the actual color may vary slightly. Friends who mind this should consider carefully, as this is not eligible for return/exchange and is considered normal.
